Children of Bodom have announced a US tour to begin 11 Sept and ending 10 October. Opening bands incluce Between the Buried and Me and “very special guest to be announced”. Posting this separately because as far as I’m aware, there is no official word on this yet.

I heard through the grapevine today that The Rasmus are planning to take a break after touring the summer festival circuit in Europe. Then they’ll go straight into the studio to work on Album #7.

This was dismaying because when I learned about their new US record label the other day, I thought for sure that the rumors about a US Fall ‘06 tour would pan out. We know of several US based bands who would be interested in a co-tour with The Rasmus. We know this because we were the little angels sitting on their shoulders whispering into their ears about this great touring idea.

So now we must keep our fingers crossed that when they’re done in the studio, they’ll come explore the rest of the North American continent to kick start their tour for Album #7.

Update: Turned out to be a red herring… they did come to tour the US on their first ever tour. And they even toured with the band we were hinting at, Kill Hannah!
