Revolution Roulette sells gold

Poets of the Fall’s latest album Revolution Roulette has sold gold in Finland. The gold record limit was broken just two weeks after the albums’s release. A big huge thanks to you all!

Thats right, it looks like Apocalyptica have cancelled their appearance at M’era Luna festival this year. Since they obviously won’t be doing a meet and greet either, they have launched a contest to win 2 tickets to the Große Freiheit festival (July 2, Hamburg), including meet and greet, instead. Just go here and answer the question to be entered to win.

I love this band…so I was all excited when I read this!

Antti’s message from the diary, English translation:

Hello!

We’ve now started setting course for the next album. The first demos are ready. A couple of days ago we recorded 7 new songs and I gotta say that there is a great feeling again. The plan is to record a few more demos during the summer and then we’ll head for the studio in the autumn.

Before that you will be indulged with a compilation, which is to be released in the autumn. In addition to the known songs there will be some new stuff and some other extras as well. At the end of the year the photobook “Uniklubi - Rakkaudesta hulluuteen” [tr. From Love to Insanity] will also be published, which picks up the best (and maybe also the worst) moments of the Luotisade tour in photos.

At the end of this month Uniklubi will start again with the summer tour, which spreads over several festivals around Finland and also elsewhere.

Have a good time waiting for the summer to come, everybody! Enjoy the sun and the warmth, if the Finnish summer offers them…

So the recently Nalle found his way into Dynasty Recordings and had a bit of a spy on Lauri. At about 55 seconds in you get a quick snippet of one of the new songs.

So all I have to say is nice acting Lauri..and who the hell is in the suit!?

So the boys from Deep Insight have release a “new” song. Well… its a song recorded years ago that never made it on an album. You can here it at their office site HERE or over on their myspace. Its called “Bullets and Bodybags”.

I wonder if Jukka wrote that. He is such a little lamb I am having a hard time believing it. But go have a listen and tell me what you think!

Apocalyptica has been confirmed to play the main stage at Ozzfest this year! This year, Ozzfest will be ONE DAY ONLY: August 9th @ Pizza Hut Park in Dallas, TX. Ozzy will obviously be there, and this year Metallica will make their Ozzfest debut! Other bands on the main stage this year include Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Hellyeah, Jonathan Davis (Korn), Cavalera Conspiracy, Shadows Fall and In This Moment. So if you’re anywhere near Texas, tickets go on sale Saturday, May 31…don’t miss it!

Lordi has entered the studio to record their fourth studio album. Apparently they had over 60 songs to choose from before they started recording! The album is due to be finished by summer, and due out sometime later this year. Check back here for more information as soon as its available!
